Honoring every individual’s worth

Born from a home that never closed its doors

The Meswete Nkabyo Foundation carries forward the lives of three people who made love a daily practice: NKABYO Paul Wete, NKABYO Joanna Mesame, and NKABYO Stephen Ekwoge. Their home in Cameroon welcomed strangers as family, taught children who had no one to teach them, and offered dignity to those the world had forgotten. We exist to keep that door open.

Education makes change possible.

Our Mission and Vision

Our mission and vision were not written in a boardroom. They were written in the way our parents welcomed strangers, taught children who had no teacher, and treated every person as someone worth showing up for. What follows is that way of living, put into words.

Education makes change possible.

Our Core Values

Values are easy to write and hard to live. Ours were chosen for one reason: they describe how our parents and brother actually treated people, every day, without needing to be asked. We hold ourselves to the same standard.

  • Love and Compassion – Serving humanity with empathy and kindness

  • Education and Empowerment – Knowledge as a tool for transformation

  • Dignity and Respect – Honoring every individual’s worth

  • Faith and Integrity – Guided by God-centered principles

  • Service and Generosity – Giving selflessly to others

How We Work

Good intentions are not enough. Here is how we turn love into lasting change.

The Foundation is based in Cameroon and currently serves communities across the Nation. Our long-term vision extends to neighboring countries in Central and West Africa, wherever a partner community invites us in.

  • Community partnerships

  • Volunteer engagement

  • Faith-based collaboration

  • Strategic alliances with NGOs and institutions

Our programs

Four ways we extend the Nkabyo home to communities that need it most.

Our work extends the Nkabyo home outward  into classrooms, prison cells, and communities across Cameroon. Each of our four programs meets a specific need with lasting care, guided by the same principle that shaped our family: no one is too small, too far, or too forgotten to matter.

Scholarships, school supplies, and mentorship for children whose futures shouldn't depend on their circumstances.

Food, healthcare, and emergency support for families facing hardship, illness, or displacement.

Dignity, rehabilitation, and reintegration support for the incarcerated and those returning home.

Helped People

Every child deserves the opportunity to learn and grow with dignity.

Through our programs, we’ve been able to provide access to education, mentorship, and resources that empower both students and teachers.

Education not only builds knowledge but also confidence. Each smile is a reminder of the brighter future that learning brings.

Every gift makes a ripple.

Let your generosity help shape a brighter future for all.

Every donation to the MESWETE NKABYO Foundation supports children in school, prisoners in need of dignity, and families facing hardship across Cameroon and beyond. This is how our parents lived. This is how their legacy continues.

Each donation ensures urgent needs are met—from emergency food parcels to clean drinking water and safe shelter.

3. The Urgency

In times of crisis, timing is everything. Your prompt action ensures help arrives when it’s needed most.

4. Where It Goes

Your donation goes directly to local efforts—no middlemen, no delay. Just real impact for real people.
